  3. So you use a lot of spray based paint? I've never heard of a auto shop painting gameboys. Do you have any tips for painting or type of paint? I kinda of want to paint some of the DMGs I have. Thanks

  4. lol.. yeah, well, I worked at a body shop and so did my friend Capcomposer, so we can have access to cool things like that... as far as home painting, spraying can be great as long as your doing thin coats at a time and washing your cases thoroughly with warm water and dish soap. If you take your time you can get great results. as far as splatters go, I just spray the tips of different objects then try to accurately flick it on. Different things give you different kinds of splats wether it be a fork, spoon, paint brush, etc.

  5. Yeah, I noticed that you had a ton of splatter painted DMGs, that must be your thing. How about liquid paint, like using a brush, have you experimented with that? Because I don't know how I could paint some designs by spray paint.

  6. I have done a few hand painted designs, I just use nice model paints. I just like the spatter thing cause its fun and has a cool 80-90's style vibe to it..lol.. Everything was splattered in the early 90's..lol

also, stencils are always cool to if you don't want to hand paint them. I use a bit I airbrushing as well.

you can click the Flickr or Deviant art links at the top of the site to see more examples.

  7. Woah! All your paints are really cool! lol; where did you get so many Gameboys!? One of your flickr pics showed like 20-some gameboys lol. Oh and thanks for the advice on painting, that will really help when I start thinking about paint.

  8. no problem ^_^ and alot of the gameboys are found at yard sales, craigslist, goodwill and other thrift stores. Never pay more than 10 bucks for a gameboy, that my rule..lol .. but most of those cases from the flickr prep pics, are from nonfinite and kitsch-bent, they both sell my work in their stores online.
